Shelley & Clay Sauter and Kim & Corey Tibble, own and operate Sunshine Blends, bringing Cold Pressed Juice and small batch Kombucha to Bountiful Farmers’ Market.

Sunshine Blends started in Kim’s fitness centre in Innisfail in 2016. Shelley was looking to start something new and Kim proposed turning her office in the fitness centre into a juice and smoothie bar that would also do healthy, fresh lunch options. They had both been drinking Kombucha themselves and making some at home so they decided to expand their product line to include Kombucha. Soon after a space opened up next to the fitness centre, they expanded their kitchen to accommodate their growing operation.

Kim is the product mastermind behind the Cold Pressed Juice flavours. Their cold pressed juice line is particularly loved by customers that want to supplement their diet with the healthy benefits of natural fruits and vegetables.  The cold pressed process  removes the fibre and leaves all the nutritional benefits behind making it easy to digest and of course great tasting! Their Kombucha also helps with digestive issues because it is made by fermenting tea with a live bacterial culture, called a SCOBY, which contributes to positive gut health.

Their goals for the future of their business is to focus on what they do best and hit it out of the park. They’ve doubled their production of beverages in the past year and their next goal is to get their Kombucha into single serve bottles and onto store shelves. Watch for their label to pop up in a store near you!

You can find Sunshine Blends Kombucha in many locations across Calgary and Central Alberta. In Edmonton you can find their Kombucha at Remedy Cafe as well as on tap and in bottles at Bountiful Farmers’ Market.
