Homestead Farm is located on the Heron Homestead in Alberta Beach, where five generations have worked to produce agricultural products for the better part of a century. Operated by Jacquie Daley, the farm is home base to the pure, raw honey that is brought to Bountiful Farmers’ Market. Beekeeping is an interest introduced to Jacquie by a friend several years ago. It became the basis of the concept to provide natural food and sustainable products. At Homestead Farm you will not only find bees, but there are also horses, chickens, sheep, pigs and alpacas, some of which produce useful materials, such as fiber, that finds its way into a variety of the Homestead Farm products. The main product however is honey. Many different types of honey can be available. The primary honey that is offered at the market is wildflower honey, which is derived from the nectar of local flowers from the whole growing season. At times, additional natural flavours such as dandelion, clover, blueberry, buckwheat, and fireweed may also be available. Whichever flavour you try, nothing beats the taste of pure raw honey from Homestead Farm.
