Sundog’s farming practices begin with care and respect for the soil driven by the understanding that balanced, healthy soil creates nutrient-dense food. We are passionate about making our vegetables available to feed and nourish our local community through our presence at farmer’s markets and through our CSA. We have incorporated regenerative methods of soil care into our farm including 139 permanent no-till beds (2/3 of our farm), intensive cover-cropping, mineral balancing, and crop rotations that include a green manure every three years. Building our soil is also a way to heal the land and mitigate climate change in our own back yard through natural carbon sequestration.
